Thank you for booking with us.
We hope you have a wonderful time. Below are our general terms and conditions.
Sittings:
Lunch times and evening reservations have a table duration of 2hrs.
This does not apply to reservations made after 2.30pm for Sunday lunch, and evenings after 7pm.
Seating requests:
We will try our best to accommodate a preferred table e.g. window, round table, though we cannot guarantee owing to changes in our seating layout/bookings on the day.
Sale of Alcohol:
If ordering alcohol and you appear younger than 25 years old we will ask to
see ID. This can be a passport, driving licence or 18+ proof of age card.
We hold a full on-licence. Please note that if you bring your own wine etc,
a corkage charge of £10 per wine and £15 for champagne will be added to the bill.
Drunkness and bad behaviour will not be tolorated. We reserve the right to
refuse sale of alcohol and you may be asked to pay outstanding bills and
leave the premises.
Food Allergies:
Our menus have a number of dairy free and dishes with gluten free ingredient options. Look out for df, gf symbols next to dishes. In some instances, the dish may be adapted for df, gf, and vegan diners. Please notify the server at the time. We cannot guarantee the absence of nuts, dairy and gluten.
Menu Requests:
Unfortunately unless given advance notice, asking for dishes to be amended or for ingredients to be added or removed will be politely declined as this can
cause added delay in the kitchen. Of course, where possible we will try to
accommodate dietary or allergy needs.
Special Event Menus:
For special event menus where advance booking is required we kindly require
a non refundable deposit to cover the number of guests.
This is usually £10pp, however certain events may ask for the full ticket price.
The amount of deposit redeemed on the day is equal to the number
of guests dining on the day. E.g. if booked for 4 guests and 3 guests dine,
then we redeem £30.
Group Bookings:
Parties of 9 people or more. We will require a deposit of £10pp to confirm your booking. If you would like to make a booking of 9 or more people, please call the restaurant on 01624 845470
Group bookings are offered a choice of early or later bookings subject to
availability. This is to control the number of food orders in the kitchen at
any one time and to allow us to manage other smaller bookings. Groups of 15+ may be offered a shorten menu with option of 3-4 dishes per course.
No-show:
In event of guests not arriving at the booked time, we will hold the
table for 20 minutes. After this time, if we have not received notification we
will cancel the booking and make it available to other bookings. If you arrive after 20 minutes if a table is available, we will try our best to accommodate.
In event of a no show, where a deposit or credit card has been provided,
we reserve the right to withold the deposit or in the event of a credit card,
take payment for the loss of business equal to £30pp.
Not showing up for a booking has a considerable financial impact to us.
We plan our staffing and food orders on the bookings we have.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel for any reason please let us know as soon as possible.
Cancellations must be confirmed by the restaurant and not assumed to be
cancelled if leaving a message on social media or answer machine.
If you have paid a deposit, and need to cancel, we reserve the right to
withold the deposit paid on the basis these are non redundable.
At the managers discretion, and with the cancellation notice exceeding 48hrs,
vouchers may be offered for use at a future date, or the booking transferred
to another date along with the deposit.
If notice of cancellation is within 48hrs, then we will withold deposits.
If we are not notified of a change in guest numbers on the day then we reserve the right to withold the deposit for the guest(s) not attending.
Availability of Menu items:
Menu items can sell out, particularly our Sunday roasts. We appreciate this can be disappointing. If you are visiting and have a particular dish you are wanting to order, you are welcome to pre-order in advance of your visit.
We will not tolorate rudeness to our staff in the event your preferred menu item is not available at time of ordering and may be banned from future visits.
Personal items:
We do not accept responsibility for any personal items left during your visit. Lost property will be kept for a period of one month and if not claimed will be donated to a local charity shop. We will where possible try to get in touch if we have details of the person who left the items.
Accessibility Statement:
We have prepared an accessibility statement which can be emailed or viewed on our website.
